I like their ice cream and often came here as a local but they don’t use receipts, and they tend to charge my order differently each time despite ordering the same thing. I usually need to know how much I pay exactly so the variance in how they apply the extra charge for dipping is inconvenient. I ordered with 3 people, clearly saying “hardserve vanilla dipped in chocolate” and they forgot my order which is fine, so I repeated myself. But then, they gave me soft serve and when I repeated myself again, they demanded an extra charge; despite me clearly specifying 3 times, and said I have to pay, have to pay. I’ve been given soft serve despite asking for hard serve several times, and usually they remake it without much hassle, but the ladies at the counter that night made my experience frustrating and never apologized. Two cashiers aren’t the whole business but the service was an unpleasant experience that makes me set on not coming back or going to Gene’s instead.

I am quite disappointed in the "service" I received today. I dropped by with my son to redeem our summer reading library coupons. (Just FYI Carl's, we normally don't redeem this coupon. So, your business does not annually lose money from us each summer. In addition, we greatly appreciate the businesses that offer summer reading program coupons, as they offer one on one time for my kids and myself with the benefit of patronizing local businesses.) Today, upon entry, the woman behind the counter held an uninterested gaze. No smile. Not even a "hello." She told us what the options were for the soft serve. It did take us a moment to gather the options. At this point, she was visibly annoyed. We didn't make a decision fast enough, and she walked off. To be fair, I became distracted by some county fair tickets. My son had a couple of questions about his choices, and then he made his decision. To her credit, she did give him candy eyes (because he was interested in getting sprinkles and other non available options.) Thank you, that was thoughtful. After his turn, I was going to redeem my coupon. I chose the wrong combination, and at that point, she remarked, "I said it several times." I

Good ice cream--both hard and soft-serve, with plenty of choices for flavors and sizes. Ample indoor seating is available, with outdoor tables also available. I visited when it was moderately busy, but there was only one person in line before me. The service was prompt, but the staff members could have been friendlier. The value was decent for what I ordered (two scoops in a waffle cone).

The food was yummy, ice cream's great. Prices were reasonable. Place looked rather nostalgic and clean. Carl, and Marge are people hahaha... You can look up to greet them with a smile.

Many options for ice cream but it was pricey. The burger we ordered was good and had great toppings.
